The Nerdies 2010!

Those of you who’ve been around long enough will know all about The Nerdies.  It’s like the Oscars slash Miss America slash Darwin Awards for online personalities.  Last year the contest had a HUGE success rate and took off in a way that I’d never anticipated.

What started out as a small little blog post turned into a raging online auction competing geeks from all over the country, betting on each other’s underwear, photographs and even down to body hair.  We had some fantastic prizes sponsored, and even better was the money we managed to raise for a charity home in Cape Town who specialises in caring for HIV infected orphans.

This year, we’ll be selecting another charity so please put forth your nominations now.

We’re also looking for sponsors to the following things:

• Prizes to the male and female finalists
• T-shirts / merchandise
• Logo design for the competition – last year I photoshopped it, it was CRAP!

The main reason for this compo is FUN.  If you’re not having it, you shouldn’t be in it.  I’m really looking forward to launching this on Monday, I hope you are too.
